What is the Baby Bottle Blessings program?
If you’ve been around A Woman’s Concern for any amount of time, you know that we are dedicated to providing free pregnancy and parenting resources to women, men, and families in our community. The costs of these services is absorbed largely by our fundraising efforts, including one of the longest-running and continuous fundraisers—our Baby Bottle Blessings program.
So, how does it work?
Many local churches & groups (and their dedicated volunteers) are committed to hosting a Baby Bottle Blessings campaign every year. You may have seen or filled a bottle yourself over the years.
The campaigns are simple and straightforward:
Take an empty baby bottle home.
Fill it with loose change, cash, or a check—every sacrificial penny counts!
Return the bottle.
After the bottles are returned to us, we pour the money donated through Baby Bottle Blessings campaigns directly into helping our clients. The funds cover the costs for services including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting courses, and baby supplies to our boutique. Your pennies create relationships, and some of those relationships—by the very nature of what we do—last for generations!
In 2018, several schools and sport teams joined our campaign rosters. How amazing to see the youth of this great community recognizing their ability to positively impact others! It is such a blessing (pun intended) to be part of this outpouring of true caring and compassion.
How can I get involved?
If you are a teacher, small group leader, or coach and are looking for a service project, perhaps you will consider joining us via this avenue.
If your church isn’t yet involved, please share information about this effective program with your pastor, priest, or other ministry leader. And check out the Baby Bottle Blessings page here on our website for details about how to run a campaign (downloadable guide, resources, etc.) and to register your event.
And may all of your blessings be multiplied!
