A Woman's Concern

Strong Families at AWC—en Español

Over the past few years, we’ve noticed something exciting—more and more of our clients speak Spanish. In fact, about 30% of the individuals we serve are Hispanic. While many are bilingual, we know that truly serving our community means offering classes and support in the language that feels most comfortable. That’s why we’ve been expanding our Spanish-speaking Strong Families program—and the response has been amazing!

Childbirth Education Class

Since January, we’ve launched two Spanish-language Childbirth Education classes led by the wonderful Hildamary, who recently completed an intensive training in childbirth education. She brings not only her expertise but also her passion for helping families prepare for this life-changing moment. For many of our Spanish-speaking clients, learning in their native language makes all the difference—and we’re honored to walk alongside them. And we are not stopping there!

Breastfeeding Class

In June, we’ll begin offering our Breastfeeding class in Spanish. This class equips moms with the tools and encouragement they need to thrive in their breastfeeding journey, while also creating a welcoming space to connect and build confidence. Every mom deserves the support and education she needs to take care of her baby.

Courageous Dads

We’re also thrilled to launch our Courageous Dads program in Spanish next month! Whether it’s a group class or a pizza night, this program is about giving dads a space to grow, connect, and lead their families with strength and courage.

Here at AWC, we’re proud to say we are currently the only pregnancy and parenting center in Lancaster County offering Childbirth Education classes in Spanish—and we’re just getting started. Together, we’re building a community where families are strong and life is cherished, one step at a time.
